WPSA
Warwick Preparatory School Association (WPSA) is a parent led social and fundraising committee that donates to school projects and local charities that are chosen annually.
Highlights across the school year have included:
Macmillan Coffee Morning – this takes place on or around the ‘Macmillan Worlds Largest Coffee Morning’ Day. We use this as a forum to welcome new parents to the school and all funds raised are sent direct to Macmillan. Generally we host a Food Bazaar or Autumn Fayre at the same time.
Winter Black Tie Ball – This takes on a theme decided by the committee but generally includes lots of glamour, sparkle, great music and great food.
Spring Pantomime - Parents, teachers and indeed the children from the school sing, dance and perform. We stage the Panto’ at the Royal Spa Centre in Leamington Spa. The show comes together with just two weeks of rehearsals before two spectacular performances over one evening.
Quiz Night – Teams of parents and teachers get to test their knowledge…and creativity, in the various rounds of intriguing questions and activities. All set around a generous feast of Indian appetisers followed by curry and its accompaniments.
Family Fun Day – To end our calendar year we like to get as many parents and children together as possible. Performing arts, circus entertainers, steel bands, hair braiding, face painting and pottery painting are all included. Competitions for the children feature on the day and, weather permitting we are outside in the sunshine enjoying a picnic on rugs enjoying the laughter of the children as they get involved in the activities.
Each year group has a representative that organises regular coffee mornings, lunches, dinners and (odd) outings.
If anybody has an idea that they would like to bring to the Committee for a future event or would just like to be involved in organising our current events we welcome you to get in touch.
The committee also runs a thriving second hand uniform shop.
