About us
Our school is situated one mile from Warwick town centre and is surrounded by attractive grounds and playing fields. The buildings provide oustanding modern, secure, purpose-built teaching areas. Here we strive to create a supportive and stimulating environment which encourages children’s natural curiosity and eagerness to learn. Our teaching programmes are based upon the National Curriculum but go far beyond it, adding many extra experiences and opportunities for learning.
Our aim is to develop each child’s potential and nurture talents, be they academic, musical, sporting, artistic or practical. To achieve this, it is essential that every pupil receives personal attention and so we employ an exceptionally large staff. This team of dedicated and enthusiastic teachers and support staff cares for the children and encourages them in all aspects of school life, with the Form Teacher being the key link between home and school.
Together with King's High School (girls aged 11 to 18) and Warwick School (boys aged 7 to 18) we belong to the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation. The three schools are within walking distance of each other and so we benefit from shared facilities and the many links which exist between the schools.
The boys remain with us until the age of 7 at which point almost all take the examination for entry to Warwick School. Girls stay until the age of 11. The great majority then take the entrance examination for King’s High School. Some girls also sit the 11+ examination for entrance to Warwickshire's grammar schools and a small number sometimes move to other local state and independent schools.
